Seagull over Edinburgh Original
Seagull over Edinburgh Original
A 6x9in painting on primed watercolour paper done with Neopastels, painted in April 2023.
It was a bright, clear morning that I’d come into Edinburgh, and saw a seagull take flight from an ornate roof, and I was struck by the idea that it was a quintessential image of Edinburgh. I hope you enjoy the subtle textures of the sky and buildings, and that it evokes a sense of clear, fresh air and a city waiting to wake up.
This painting has had a border of unpainted surface left around it to make the framer’s job easier (I have been told that framing paper paintings without a border is an annoying experience)
On purchase this will be posted to you with a stiff backing board and a clear plastic bag - this saves a great deal on posting a mounted and framed image!.
